this chapter talked alot about actions. their was heavyusage of verbs and subjects. it was talking about dense writing. dont use alot of abstract nouns especially from verbs and adjectives. it talked about nominalization's too. you can nominalize a verb by addig "ing". this chapter was helpful becuase before i never knew what a nominalization was. i've compared variuos sentence strucures in this chapter and some come out to be very dense.

the authors intentions for this lesson was to establish some action sentences. some verbs and subjects were addressed in this chaper. "a sentence seems clear when it is important actions are in verbs" pg.31. a nominalization is a noun derived from a verb or adjective. we discussed linking characters to their actions. we also made judgements in this chapter.

i personally connect to this lesson simply becuase i do actions all the time. for example writing as of right now. actions and subjects come up in variuos activitys throughout the day. personally this chapter is something we've been writing about since grade school and thats subjects and verbs, it just went into more detail.
