My Definition of Cultural Literacy: The ability to use the knowledge you have about a culture in all forms of literacy such as conversing, or writing.
Chelsea- I think this is a great definition, but its extremely vague. I would try to relate it to your own life such as being culturally literate in the college world.
My Definition of Cultural Competency: The ability to absorb the information and comprehend fully what is coming from cultural information and cultural sources. the knowledge that enables a person to speak and understand a language--merriam webster online
Blake - I would agree with both definitions. I believe that the only main difference between the two definitions is the form of writing between the form of interactive communication.
