<p><strong>Option 1: </strong>The first way to incorporate an image is to link to it. Click on the insert image button (highlighted in the first screenshot below) and fill in the required information in the form that appears (second screenshot). Warning: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotlinking">Hotlinking</a> is generally frowned upon by web admins.</p>
<p><a href="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/screenshot-5.png" title="screenshot-5.png"><img src="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/screenshot-5.png" alt="screenshot-5.png" height="480" width="600" /></a><a href="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/screenshot-2.png" title="screenshot 2"><img src="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/screenshot-2.png" alt="screenshot 2" height="481" width="601" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Option 2:</strong> The other option is to upload a file. Under the upload tab, browse for an image (screen 3) open it, then click upload. (your screen will look different if depending on your operating system. Linux is pictured) Once uploaded, you&#8217;ll see it beneath the &#8220;browse&#8221; tab. Select the image and then click &#8220;Send to editor&#8221; (screen 4). You will then be able to manipulate the image inside the editor and place it where you like.<br />
<a href="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/screenshot-3.png" title="screenshot-3.png"><img src="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/screenshot-3.png" alt="screenshot-3.png" height="481" width="601" /></a><a href="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/screenshot-4.png" title="screenshot-4.png"><img src="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/screenshot-4.png" alt="screenshot-4.png" height="480" width="600" /></a></p>
<p><strong>If you use Wordpress</strong></p>
<p>(For detailed or advanced help see here: <a href="http://support.wordpress.com/topic/media/">http://support.wordpress.com/topic/media/</a>)</p>
<p>Click on the Add Image button:</p>
<p><a href="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/wp3.png" title="wp3.png"><img src="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/wp3.png" alt="wp3.png" height="480" width="600" /></a></p>
<p>Select a file and upload. You&#8217;ll then be presented with this screen:</p>
<p><a href="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/wp2.png" title="wp2.png"><img src="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/wp2.png" alt="wp2.png" height="480" width="600" /></a></p>
<p>Choose your alignment and sizing. Then click &#8220;Insert into Post.&#8221;  You can alternatively save the image without putting it in the current post by clicking Save all changes. This will save it to your Media Library.</p>
<p>To insert an image from your library, click on the add image button and choose the Media Library tab.</p>
<p><a href="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/wp5.png" title="wp5.png"><img src="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/wp5.png" alt="wp5.png" height="480" width="600" /></a></p>
<p>Find the desired image and click show. This will bring up the same set of options as for a newly uploaded image</p>
<p><a href="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/wp6.png" title="wp6.png"><img src="http://comp.missouri.edu/blogs/brock/wp-content/blogs.dir/128/files//2009/05/wp6.png" alt="wp6.png" height="480" width="600" /></a></p>
